Its my birthday



Should I be happy or sad?



Should my spirits soar high



or dip down below?



Its just another calendar day



in the passage of time



Why toast it with pastries and cake?



Do these gifts and wishes



make a difference to me?



A birthday just adds



another year to my strife



And subtracts time from life



Its just my birthday



so what is so great?



Why do people want me



to celebrate?



Its just my Birthday
